Traveling to Vienna with Your Pet – What You Need to Know

Traveling with a pet requires extra planning – especially for airport transfers. At FDF Taxi, we welcome dogs, cats and other small pets in our vehicles. Simply let us know when booking.

To enter Austria, your pet needs an EU Pet Passport (or equivalent document), a valid rabies vaccination and a microchip. Keep these documents handy at all times during your trip.

In our vehicles, we ensure your pet is transported safely and comfortably. Small dogs and cats ideally travel in a carrier. Larger dogs can sit on the back seat or in the boot area.

Vienna itself is a surprisingly pet-friendly city. Many cafés and restaurants allow dogs, and the numerous parks offer perfect spaces to stretch their legs. The Prater, Augarten and Stadtpark are particularly popular.

Our tip: When booking your return transfer to the airport, allow extra time so your pet can have a walk before the flight. Our driver will happily wait during the agreed free waiting time.
